The White Holland is a white-feathered variety that originated in Europe. The White Holland variety was accepted into the Standard in 1874. This variety became popular and has been important commercially in this country. The White Holland turkey is showy in appearance, with snow white feathers and the beard is black. The White Holland was the most important white feathered variety throughout most of American History. The White Holland was the only commercial white variety in the first half of the 1900’s. Its advantage over other turkeys is its lack of dark pin feathers. The standards weights for Toms are 33 pounds and 18 pounds for Hens. (Limit 10)
